Hand Me Down

I inherited this dresser; it was my mum's old dresser when she was growing up. I was drawn to it's mid century modern style, and it was in great shape. I knew I could jazz it up a bit.

Before.

I gave it a quick sand and two coats of primer. I used Benjamin Moore Super Spec Primer. Once it was dry (aka the next day...), I did another two coats of Benjamin Moore Blue Nose (CC-800). I had bought a sample can for a small project previously, and it was enough for both projects, and I probably have enough for another project, too! Because I decided on leaving the drawers as it was, it probably only took me about half an hour to do absolutely everything, not including dry time.

After.

I also spray painted the brassy bottoms of the legs, in Rustoleum Hammered Metal spray paint in Dark Bronze. As always.

I was really happy with how it turned out.  I love that it was a hand-me-down from my mum, and now, with my own touch to it, it feels like it's made itself at home again with us.
